he Chobits characters
I tried to make this as spoiler-free as possible; that's why most of the descriptions are so short. There's a lot to reveal about each character in Chobits, so I'm keeping shut about everything for now, na? Possible spoiler pages for each character in the future, when I'm less busy perhaps. :)
 Motosuwa Hideki

Hideki is a (virgin) boy who came from the provinces to the city so that he could study for the college entrance exam. In the city, he took a job at Club Paradise so that he could pay for his everyday expenses. He also studied at Seki cram school, where his parents sent him to. After he found Chii amongst some trash, he brought her back home with him and took care of her.

Chii is a cute persocom Hideki picked up in the trash. At first, all she can say is "Chii", but as days pass she learns new things Hideki teaches her. She wants to see Hideki smile always, so she does things she thinks will make him happy, albeit misinterpreting others (such as dressing up as one of the girls in Hideki's porn magazine, for instance).
 Dark Chii (Freya)

Dark Chii is a very mysterious character in Chobits, and the truth about her is slowly revealed throughout the series. She appears occassionally and talks to Chii about finding "the person only for her". Her resemblance to Chii is also very notable.
 Sumomo (Plum)

Sumomo is Shinbo's mobile, portable persocom. She's rather energetic and can wake up people pretty good. Occassionally she causes a few mishaps here and there. ^^;

Shinbo is Hideki's neighbor and classmate at Seki cram school. Hideki oftentimes goes to Shinbo when he has persocom problems, and Shinbo tries to help Hideki as best as he can.
 Shimizu Takako

Miss Shimizu is Hideki and Shinbo's teacher. She likes helping her students, apparently.
 Kokubunji Minoru

Minoru is an extremely smart and rich kid who custom-makes his own persocoms. In fact, Yuzuki was programmed to be just like his older sister, Saitou Kaede (a crossover character from Angelic Layer), who passed away some time ago. He often frequents BBS boards about Persocoms and is known there as "M". He also helps Hideki with taking care of Chii.

Yuzuki's personality, appearance, and memory is based off Minoru's sister who passed away. Minoru installed a self-teaching software in her, so she can learn things herself (like a human) instead of installing programs in her like the normal persocoms.
 Omura Yumi (Ohmura Yumi)

Occupation: waitress (formerly assistant pastry chef)

Hates: herself for not being as smart or pretty as a persocom

Yumi works at Club Paradise alongside Hideki. She's cheerful and friendly, although she has an inferiority complex when it comes to human-sized persocoms. She can handle small persocoms, though, and even owns one herself.
 Ueda Hiroyasu

 Hibiya Chitose

Miss Hibiya is the landlady of the apartment building Hideki and Shinbo live in. Hideki often meets her when she's tidying up the front of the building, and she also helps Hideki with taking care of Chii.
